Conkers

I love the textures in this image and the warm tones. Very little editing was done to this image with just a bit of warming to the colours. The conkers were collected from the garden into an old washing up bowl and then snapped straight away.

Aquaduct in Spain

So far we have had colour images and mono images but this one is a bit of both.Taken just outside Nerja in southern Spain it involved quite a climb to reach the top, but one that i hope you agree was worth it.

CYPRIOT DOOR

I wonder how many people have crossed the freshold of this door.Taken in Limassol the jpeg was then sharpened and some cables taken out with the healing brush. Finally the saturation was increased slightly to warm it up.

Sunset on Waikiki

This image has been created using duo-toning techniques.I particularly like the way the palm trees are silhouetted against the sky.

Flame on waikiki

I love the way the flame stands out against the dark hawaiian sky and the palm trees.

Viva Las Vegas

This Image was taken on the first night of our stay in Vegas on our honeymoon. It was taken from our room in The Bellagio and shows the nearby hotel Ceasars Palace and the desert in the distance at night.The temperature was in the 40's and you can almost get the feel for the heat in this pic.

HAWAII

Staying with the black and white theme this jpeg is actually a series of pics taken on a mountain in Hawaii overlooking Honolulu.The pics were then stitched together in Photoshop and desaturated.What makes these B&W images so dramatic is the skies with deep contrasts and the ability to really turn up the focusing of areas of the image that you would be unable to do with colour.

Austria

This is a photo of the Krimml Falls , the highest falls in Europe.It was taken in 2001 on a Canon Ixus.It shows what can be done with a cheap compact camera.

This is a bridge i came across in the town of Confelens in the Charente region of France,the town was almost stuck in a time warp from the 40's.
